Letter to Self

Dear Self,
I’ll like to remind you
that on this path you thread,
there will be times to hold
and times to fold.
There will be battles won
and lost and there will always be
two sides of the coin.
So head on and leave the tails behind
for there are opportunities to explore
and a million miles to cover
between the head and the tail.
Lots of love

The mercy I live with lives
In the heavens
A mercy that opens
Locked doors and sets
My blessings free.
A mercy that grants
Me grace that is
out of this world

I have been fighting like a bull,
been doubtful like Thomas,
even ran like Jonah.
My bones have been
broken in many places
by battles that won’t end,
struggles that won’t stop
but his grace kept me going
and my reward today
is breathtaking.
So I say God is love
love is God.

Tunnel End

Can you feel it
Creeping behind you
Transforming the hair on your
skin to soldiers at war front.

Can you feel the light
About to swallow
your shadow
Can you feel it
Like summer
After her icy winter.
