Bad Hand

Fate

Fate dealt her a bad hand

and she became

lost in the world of fear

lost in the ocean of grief.

But,

She rose

like tiny rose bud

above the failure

of a drunken husband.

She rose

above the hurt

of a thieving family.

She raised her babies

with her sweat,

with her hardened hands

with her tears.

Then

fate reshuffled her cards,

dealt her a bigger hand.

Dealt her a sour hand.

The hand was merciless,

the hand took them all

her babies.
